Thrice-Holy: A plan for worship growth

The Alban Institute’s study on the 80% Rule

7:30am – Rite I – chapel, no nursery

8:15-9:00am – Breakfast in Drake

9:00-10:15 – Rite II “non-smoking”
Children’s Chapel – 9:00-9:30 approximate
Godly Play – 9:00-9:30 approximate
Nursery

During the final hymn, children who wish to participate will process out first and will go to the children’s hall for a modified version of our rotations. This will officially start at 10:15 and will end at 10:45 and will include children who wish to attend the 10:45am service. Parents leaving the 9am service may go to Drake for coffee and fellowship and pick their children up at 10:45. Parents arriving for the 10:45 service may go to Drake for coffee and fellowship and their children will then transition to Children’s Chapel or the 3 & 4 year old ‘nursery.’ The rotations will include children from both services.

10:45-12:00pm – Rite II “smoking”

Children’s Chapel – 10:45-11:15 approximate
3 & 4 year olds – staring out with a Salem Sitter until we see how large this group is and then re-evaluate. If it continues to be a large group, we will work to implement a Godly Play structure identical to 9am.

This is a great plan and a much needed expansion. One point not addressed in the video is the fullness of the parking lot! On a recent “non holiday” Sunday, a visitor commented how she had to park up the street. Expanding to three services will not only give us more personal space in the pews, it will allow us to park on the premesis!

I think its a great plan!

I think we should go for it.

I haven’t been as excited about a plan since Vianne finally said “Yes I will marry you Bob Piper.”!
