This is how I felt after our exploratory trip to Costa Rica. There is need everywhere!!! The challenge is to change your heart. After returning from Costa Rica I had a new set of eyes to see the needs in my own backyard. We become lazy about what surrounds us daily. Maybe mission trips at a distance is God’s way of kicking us back into play. Peace, lea

This is a good way to think in terms of outreach at St. Timothy’s as a whole. To me, this applies well when you go and be with those that don’t have a home at the Samaritan Inn, when we go and minister to those who are sick, when we hold the hand of someone that is suffering. The adult mission trip to Costa Rica excites me. Identifying new opportunities for St. Tim’s to “go and do” in our own back yard excites me.

Theologia habitus est means "theology is a way of life." I heard this phrase once in seminary and frankly, I've never heard it again. When I last googled the phrase the only real hit was an address given by the very same professor from whom I first heard the words. This little known motto is the summa for me.
